Mr. Mohammad Shaker Shamim brings with him over 23 years of extensive experience in the manufacturing and service industries. Throughout his career, he has worked across diverse functions including finance & accounts, marketing & sales, supply chain & commercial, operations, and human resources in various esteemed organizations.
He began his career with an international company and subsequently served in several leading diversified business conglomerates. Over the years, he has held senior leadership positions such as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Managing Director & CEO in both publicly listed and private limited companies, making significant contributions to industrial and business development.
Mr. Shamim is a seasoned professional with proven expertise in developing and implementing strategic business plans. He is recognized for his excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, coupled with strong analytical problem-solving abilities. A client-first thinker, lifelong learner, and detail-oriented leader, he is widely respected as a natural influencer who is reliable and committed. He also possesses extensive experience in building international businesses and maintaining effective liaisons with banks and regulatory authorities both at home and abroad. His deep industry knowledge, business acumen, and ability to navigate complex business dynamics have consistently proven to be invaluable assets for the organizations he has served.
His specialized expertise includes financial management, financial structuring & re-engineering, fund raising, trade finance, and impaired asset management. A widely travelled professional, he has attended numerous seminars at home and abroad on international finance, business operations, and sales & marketing management.
Academically, Mr. Shamim obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) after completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree. He also completed his Chartered Accountancy course with Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co., Chartered Accountants, an associated firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, USA.

Mohammad Zahid Hossain

Mohammad Zahid Hossain is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) since 2002. He is an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Institute of Chartered Accountant in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Full Member of CPA Australia. He is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
During his long professional life of more than 25 years, he worked in the role of CFO in different National and Multinational companies.
He had been shouldering responsibilities in the areas of Financial Reporting, Direct & indirect taxes, Strategic planning, Risk Management, Finance and Corporate & Legal Affairs. He worked as Board Member in BAPEX (Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited) for more than 5 years until August 2020. During this tenure, he contributed in financial control, project feasibility, audit, compliance etc.
Mr. Hossain was appointed to the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Lamps Limited (a “Transcom” Company) on 13 June 2023 as an Independent Director and continues to-date.
He is an acclaimed writer for various financial journals and national English Dailies at home and abroad. He attends TV programs as discussants on business and economy related topics (Watch Video)

He is an active member of standing and non-standing committees of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. He is an enlisted Trainer for bdjobs and DCCI Business Institute.
He is a part-time Faculty of couple of reputed private Universities in Bangladesh.
He completed his Bachelor of Commerce under Dhaka University. Earlier in his academic endeavors, he stood 13th in the commerce merit list of Higher Secondary School (HSC) examination.
